The sea directly outside our hotel is usually too shallow inside the reef for swimming, and this makes it a safer area generally, but caution is advised with small children. It is a quiet stretch of beach with no jet skis or hawkers. There are other beaches close by in Choengmon and of course the famous Chaweng Beach which is somewhat busier. Crystal Cove is a taxi ride away and is another popular location.
